ZipRecruiter analyzed 250,000 job ads across a variety of industries to find the most commonly listed skills hiring managers want from new employees.

Career seekers it’s time to brush up on your communication skills because more than half of the job ads analyzed included a communication skills requirement.

Communication came up more often than having a college degree, time management skill, teamwork, and individual motivation, although those are also important.

ZipRecruiter’s analysis also found the most common benefits offered by employers to attract new hires: a signing bonus, training programs, and paid vacations.
